Methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase or MTHFR is part of a growing group of genetic research that has the ability to radically transform our health. Specifically, MTHFR is a marker for potential enzyme deficiency in methylation.
If you or a loved one have problems like:
- Autism
- Fibromyalgia
- Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome
- Colon Cancer
- Infertility issues
- Gastric Cancer
- Asthma
Or maybe you’d rather avoid some of the diseases above, then keep reading because this gene mutation could hold the key to better health.
Screening for MTHFR mutations and getting help from an experienced practitioner might be something for you to further investigate, especially if you read this list of 64 potential MTHFR problems.
The science is new and changing fast so I decided to reach out to my friend, Ameer Rosic, who specializes in methylation and MTHFR support to get a better understanding. He’s part of a larger group of MTHFR practitioners who you can read more about here.
On this Podcast, Ameer Shares:
3:09 How he got rid of his depression and low energy problems
5:40 What is methylation and why it is vitally important for health
7:50 Why an MTHFR gene mutation could make you sick
13:48 Signs and Symptoms of MTHFR mutation issues (like burping from garlic)
17:34 Simple tips to improve methylation ability
25:41 Sleep pressure – do you have enough to fall asleep easy?
34:04 Optimal exercise guidelines for the non-athlete
43:07 Ameer’s top 3 tips for living optimally

A great show and just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to MTHFR, methylation and your health. I’m just beginning to dive into the subject and will be working with Ameer at some point.
If you want to sign up for Ameer’s consulting services make sure you check out his site.
And if you’re still struggling with just going to the bathroom, then sign up to work with one of our recommended practitioners.
In the meantime, keep your eyes peeled for new info on MTHFR and its health implications.

One of the things that stands out on that list of 64 potential mthfr problems is methotrexate toxicity. Methotrexate is commonly used with IBDs. In fact, we just visited a doc that knows about both autism and ibds, and he recommended methotrexate as an option for us, even though our child has an mthfr mutation. I’m going to forward him the list of 64, and the study itself.
