Is it possible to have a leaky gut and not feel any pain. I was diagnosed with crohns about a year ago when i had a perforation in my small intestine. I was on prednisone for a while and pentasa enraged by the dependency i stopped the drugs thinking i was only going to be in pain. On new years after a congested liver and multiple fistulas i escaped surgery yet again i was on steroids and was able to get into a stem cell study at the va hospital. At the end of may one night i woke up in pain and was not able to go back to sleep. My family took me to mcv where they found my colon filled to capacity bowels obstructed infection and abcesses on my bladder and air in my abdominal cavity and one fistula. After surgery i lost 12 inches of small and 3 inches of large intestine as i was in the hospital bed my godmother showed me your book i like science and skimming through it i was very interested the surgeon was not his suggestion was remicade or ill see you in 2 years for another operation so ive been on remicade for about 10 weeks eating pretty much what ever and i feel good except the fact that everytime i eat and later feel my stomach gurgling i cant help but wonder if history will repeat itself and the part that ill never understand is yall have PUT IN MY LAP the key to health and i still just want to eat pasta with butter and garlic i think one day ill take care of myself in conclusion thank you.

I have UC and started the diet in Jan. Have had a lot of success on it until recently I’ve been in a flare for almost a month. It was probably the coffee and the four horsemen that started it. I’m trying to get out this flare and started your 5 day diet for a flare two days ago. But I’m curious about the Betaine HCL. Should I take that while in a flare or wait for it to calm down? Thanks..

    Hello, You Two,
Thank you so much for all that you do. I was diagnosed one and half years ago with severe crohns. I found you guys right away and started following SCD. I can’t say I’m healthy yet. Sometimes I have to take antibiotics and sometimes I have to take prednisone, but you give me so much hope that I can heal myself if I keep trying.
    Thank you!
How do I look at the one hour Q&A?

Thanks Jordan. I think I have to go to a windows computer to see it (I have problems seeing your films on Linux – chromium browser).
I would like to ask – what do I replace the apple and pear sauce with? I have fructose malabsorption?

Steve- Love you guys! You have helped me a lot. The Prozymes I started taking totally got rid of my acid reflux. I was fighting that for years. Anyway,I am having problems with the L-glutamine. I am taking about 10 grams a day(two teaspoons)- I do just fine for about two week to three weeks, then I start to get cramping and loose stools. I stop it and the symptoms go away When I start it again, the same thing happens. When I first start it, it seems to give me energy, so I would like to keep using it. Any suggestions?
